Bring the rough idea.
Make it filmable.

A video production brief does not need to be complicated. It needs to explain the audience, purpose, locations, people, deliverables and decisions that will shape the shoot.

Planning and production frame from a Cyprus video project

A useful brief helps the production move faster because it removes guesswork. It does not need to solve every creative choice before the first conversation.

Write the purpose in one sentence

After watching this video, what should the audience understand, feel or do? That sentence guides the structure, length and call to action.

Name the audience

Customers, partners, sponsors, recruits, guests and existing supporters all need different information. The more specific the audience, the sharper the film can become.

List the practical pieces

Include location, date, people involved, access restrictions, deadline, must-capture moments and any brand or legal requirements.

Define deliverables

Decide whether you need a main film, vertical versions, social cutdowns, captions, still frames, speaker recordings or files for a specific platform.

From the process

A clearer start makes a better shoot.
