A conference is not only a sequence of speakers. It is a programme, a venue, a group of people, sponsor obligations and often a campaign for the next edition.
Decide between recordings and recap
Speaker recordings need clean audio, stable framing and sometimes multiple cameras. A recap needs atmosphere, movement, audience, details and short moments that carry the day.
Plan sound with the venue
If talks or panels matter, audio access should be confirmed early. The venue, AV team and videographer need to know how sound will be captured before doors open.
List sponsor and organiser needs
Logos, stands, networking, award moments, VIPs and audience size may all matter to the organiser. A short priority list helps the camera cover them without interrupting the event.
Think about next-year promotion
Conference video often becomes material for the next event: recap film, speaker clips, short social moments and still frames. Capture with those future uses in mind.
