A quote should help both sides understand the same project. If the scope is vague, the price is hard to compare and the production is harder to manage.
List the deliverables
The quote should state the main film, social cutdowns, vertical versions, captions, still frames or any other final files included.
Show the production scope
Useful details include planning, shoot days, locations, crew, equipment, travel, editing, colour, sound, music, revisions and delivery timeline.
Clarify feedback
State who gives feedback, how many revision rounds are included and what kind of changes fall outside the agreed scope.
Confirm usage and rights
Music, archive, talent, location permissions and source footage requests should be clear before production begins.
