The location is part of the story. It can make a business feel real, show scale, add local character or create practical problems that slow the shoot down.
Check light before committing
Sun direction, shade, windows, reflective surfaces and time of day can change a location completely. Good planning avoids fighting the light on the shoot day.
Listen to the space
Traffic, air conditioning, music, echo and nearby work can make interviews difficult. If spoken sound matters, the location must be quiet enough to support it.
Confirm access and permissions
Parking, loading, power, venue rules, public access and filming permissions should be clear before the crew arrives.
Choose meaning over decoration
A beautiful place is useful only if it helps the viewer understand the subject. The location should support the message, not distract from it.
